Las Vegas indoor air quality — purifiers, humidifiers, HRV/ERV, UV

Las Vegas homes spend 90%+ of winter indoors — indoor air quality directly affects comfort, health and productivity. Whole-home air purifiers, humidifiers, HRV/ERV ventilation, UV sterilization and premium filtration for measurable air quality improvement.

  • Integrated with existing HVAC system

Why Las Vegas IAQ matters

Las Vegas indoor air quality

Modern airtight construction traps everything — dust, pet dander, VOCs from cleaning products, cooking fumes, off-gassing from furniture. In winter Las Vegas you can't just open windows to flush it out. Air quality accumulates.

The four levers on indoor air quality: filtration (trap particulates), purification (kill microbes and inactivate VOCs), humidification (maintain 40% RH for comfort and mucous membrane health), and ventilation (bring in filtered fresh air, exhaust stale air).

For Las Vegas homes with visible symptoms — dry skin/eyes in winter, static shocks, condensation on windows, allergies, respiratory issues — a comprehensive IAQ upgrade can measurably improve quality of life. We measure IAQ during assessment (particulate count, humidity, VOC concentration) and design a system to address the specific issues. How we approach IAQ

How your Las Vegas indoor air quality service call works — four steps

  1. IAQ assessment

Handheld meter reads particulate count, humidity, VOCs, and CO2. Written baseline report with specific numbers. Comparison to healthy ranges.

  2. System design

Solutions matched to measured problems. Filtration + humidification + purification + ventilation combined as needed. Written quote with expected IAQ improvement.

  3. Install

All IAQ equipment ties into existing HVAC system. Filters, humidifiers, purifiers, UV lights installed on furnace or air handler. HRV/ERV needs dedicated ductwork.

  4. Post-install measurement

IAQ re-measured 30 days after install. Written comparison shows the actual improvement. Adjust settings if targets not fully met.

The 4 IAQ layers

Filtration, purification, humidification, ventilation

FILTRATION: MERV 11-16 filters trap most airborne particulates. Simple upgrade from a standard MERV 8 filter housing — often just requires a wider filter housing installed on the furnace.

PURIFICATION: UV lights sanitize air passing through the ductwork. Electronic air cleaners use static charge to trap fine particles. Both reduce microbial load and allergen impact.

HUMIDIFICATION: whole-home humidifier maintains 40% RH during winter — comfort, health, and hardwood floor protection.

VENTILATION: HRV/ERV brings in filtered fresh air and exhausts stale air without losing the heat you've paid to produce.

Most Las Vegas homes benefit from at least 2 of these 4 layers. High-symptom homes benefit from all four combined.

IAQ system components in a Las Vegas home

IAQ FAQs

Las Vegas HVAC frequently asked questions

Symptoms that suggest IAQ issues: dry skin/eyes in winter, static shocks, condensation on windows, persistent stuffiness or 'musty' smell, worsening allergies indoors, respiratory issues that get worse at home. Measurement during our free IAQ assessment gives specific numbers.
MERV filter upgrade: $150-$350. UV purifier: $600-$1,200. Whole-home humidifier: $650-$1,600. HRV/ERV: $2,500-$4,200. Comprehensive IAQ package (all four): $4,500-$8,500. Individual system upgrades are often the right start.
Depends on your specific issue. For dry-air winter symptoms: humidifier first ($800-$1,200 installed). For allergy or dust sensitivity: MERV filter upgrade first ($150-$350). For stale/stuffy air or condensation: HRV/ERV ($2,500-$4,200). Assessment identifies which will help most.
MERV 13+ filters and UV purification reduce airborne pathogen load, but not to a level that guarantees no transmission. Layered defense (masks, ventilation, and IAQ systems) is more effective than any single layer. We're honest about what IAQ systems can and can't do.
Some IAQ systems qualify under regional utility rebates when combined with envelope upgrades — HRV/ERV in particular. Standalone air purifiers and humidifiers: no significant rebate programs. federal energy rebate may cover comprehensive HVAC + IAQ packages.
